Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“Customer” or “you”) and AltFixer (“AltFixer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing or using any AltFixer services—or by clicking “I agree”—you accept these Terms.

1. Service Description

AltFixer provides an on‑demand image‑accessibility audit and alt‑text generation service (“Service”). The Service crawls your public website, identifies images missing alternative text, and produces WCAG‑aligned alt‑text suggestions delivered as a CSV, PDF guide, and optional JavaScript snippet.

AltFixer is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice; compliance responsibility remains with you.

2. Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Flat fee displayed at checkout (currently USD $69 per scan, $49 for optional re‑scan).
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; AltFixer does not store full card numbers.
  • All fees are non‑refundable once a scan has begun, except as required by law.

4. License & Intellectual Property

We grant you a non‑exclusive, perpetual license to use the deliverables for your own website(s). AltFixer retains all rights in the underlying software, crawler, and AI models. You may not resell or publicly distribute the deliverables without written consent.

5. Customer Content & Obligations

You confirm that you own or have permission to scan the submitted domain. You warrant that your site does not violate applicable laws or third‑party rights.

6. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt servers or networks.
  • Use the Service to scan sites you do not own or control.
  • Automate requests or perform bulk scans without written approval.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” AltFixer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and that the Service will make your website fully ADA‑compliant or guarantee specific SEO outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AltFixer’s total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. AltFixer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify AltFixer from any claims arising out of your website content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

10. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page and, if significant, notified via email. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Termination

AltFixer may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
